"Security Assurances". Russia Denies Transmitting U.S. Response

The Washington Post earlier wrote that the U.S. had received a response from Russia on "security guarantees". However, officially the Russian Federation denies this.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko said this, RBC-Ukraine reported.

"This message does not correspond to reality," he said.

The Washington Post wrote, citing a senior diplomatic source, that Moscow continues to prepare a "consolidated" response to the U.S. and NATO response "on security guarantees."

As a reminder, earlier Russia put forward demands to the West, calling it "security guarantees". Among other things, it demanded that Ukraine be denied the prospect of joining NATO.

US permanent representative to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield said that Russia threatened with military actions if its demands on the so-called "security guarantees" were not met.
