Putin had a reaction to the initiative on supplying weapons to the "LDPR": this is something new

Russian President Vladimir Putin is aware of the initiative of his United Russia party, which concerns the official supply of weapons to the occupation authorities in certain areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine. Moreover, this initiative is allegedly "something new."

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing a briefing by the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov.

"The president is well aware of this opinion. He is sympathetic to how sensitive this topic is. But right now there is no reaction from the president," he noted.

At the same time, he clarified that Russia has not allegedly supplied weapons to the occupied Donbas before.

"This is something new," Peskov stressed.

Recall, the day before the party "United Russia", which is the ruling in the Russian Federation, initiated official military supplies for the so-called "LDNR".

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that it was necessary to focus on the implementation of the Minsk agreements, then all questions about such supplies would fall away.
