The U.S. has taken into account Ukraine's position in Russia's response on "security guarantees" - Kuleba

Ukraine has no objections to the written proposals that the United States intends to send to Russia this week as part of the negotiations to de-escalate the security situation.

Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said this at an online briefing, writes European Pravda.

"Our position is taken into account, and the proposals that the United States will send Russia in terms of Ukraine do not raise our objections," Kuleba said.

The U.S. is reportedly expected this week to give Russia a written response to its demand for so-called "security guarantees," which includes a demand not to accept Ukraine into NATO.

The U.S. expects to have further contacts with Moscow after it reads Washington's response.

NATO also plans to send a separate response to the so-called "security requirements. Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said the alliance would reiterate its unwillingness to cede to Russia on key principles such as the right of every state in Europe to choose its own path or security treaties it wants to be part of.

At the same time, the response will note that NATO is ready to listen to Russia's concerns.
