The North Atlantic Alliance has no plans to deploy combat units to Ukraine, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg confirmed in an interview with CNN on Tuesday.
"NATO will not be stationing combat units in Ukraine," he said.
Western countries are concerned about the movement of Russian troops near Ukraine's border. They believe Russia may be planning an invasion of the country. Russia has repeatedly stated that it is not planning such an invasion.
Stoltenberg has repeatedly reminded in recent months that NATO provides "practical and political" support to Ukraine.
