The Czech defense minister said that her country could send its military to Ukraine if requested to do so.
During an interview, Denik N journalists asked Minister Jana Černochová: "Can you imagine that the Czech Republic would send a small contingent of soldiers to Ukraine, like Canada, for example?"
"No one has asked about our military yet. If there is a request, we will consider it," the Czech Defense Minister replied.
In the interview, Chernokhova also confirmed that she intends to hand over to the government the material on the basis of which the Czech Republic will provide Ukraine with 152 mm artillery ammunition.
As the minister noted, Russia has a long-standing tendency to pursue its policy in Ukraine using the methodology of hybrid warfare, just as in Georgia, in Belarus with Lukashenko's knowledge, and in Kazakhstan. In her opinion, the Czech Republic should negotiate on these issues, because in terms of economics, sanctions against Russia are not beneficial to either side.
"But Russia has not taken any steps at all to change the situation. So far we have been told that no one on the border wants the conflict to escalate. But no one knows how it will turn out in the end," said Yana Chernokhova.
