The news that women of certain professions will be put on the military registration in Ukraine has caused indignation among Ukrainians. A petition to abolish the order appeared on the President's website and today it has collected the required number of signatures. The author of the petition called the order from the Ministry of Defense on military registration for women "mockery".
The petition has already been signed by over 25 thousand people. Now it is in the status of "pending consideration."
"Cancel the order of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine from 11.10.2021 № 313! To use only the list of professions that are defined by the PKMU № 711 from 14.10.1994", - says the text of the demand to cancel the order.
The author of the petition points out that now almost all women in Ukraine must be subject to military service. This she calls "an outrage."
"No public discussion. No preparations. No transition period and no explanation of the implementation mechanism," the author noted.
Now that the petition has garnered the required number of votes, it should be considered.
"Consideration of the electronic petition is immediate, but no later than ten working days from the date of publication of information about the beginning of its consideration. About support or not support of the electronic petition addressed to the President of Ukraine is publicly announced by the President of Ukraine on the website of the Official Internet Representation of the President of Ukraine", - the rules about petitions.
