Today, December 6, marks the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelensky congratulated servicemen and veterans on the holiday. The press service of the head of state published his congratulations.

Zelensky noted that today Ukraine celebrates the 30th anniversary of the creation of the national Armed forces.

"Having absorbed the best national military traditions formed in the difficult, bloody wars and armed conflicts of the past, the Ukrainian army during its modern history has gone the hard way to form a capable and highly organized combat structure, confident in its strength and able to break any aggressive plans of the enemy," he added.

The president also said that Ukrainians are proud of their military, because it is they who have preserved the independence of the country and continue to defend its freedom and sovereignty.

"On behalf of the Ukrainian people, I express gratitude to the personnel and veterans of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for their selfless service, fortitude and heroism in defending the territorial integrity of the country.On this day, we bow to the memory of the heroes who gave their lives for Ukraine. Their feat will live on forever and serve as a model of honest and selfless service to the Fatherland". - said Zelensky.

He is convinced that the Armed Forces will continue to "reliably defend the freedom and independence of our state."

"I wish you and your families good health, prosperity, indestructibility of spirit and new victories," the president said.
