The countries of the Associated Trio and the EU have discussed the possibility of abolishing roaming fees. This was told by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal in an interview to the TV channel Dom, reports Government Portal.
On November 30 the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal, the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili and the head of the Government of Moldova Natalia Gavrilitsa paid a working visit to Brussels as part of the initiative of the Associated Trio.
According to the Prime Minister of Ukraine, among other issues discussed with the leadership of the European Union.
"For example, we discussed the possibility of cancelling roaming charges for our citizens or the inclusion of our states in a single European payment area, when it will not be necessary to pay huge money for the transfer of euros between our countries", - said the head of Ukrainian Government.
As Denis Shmygal stressed, the implementation of these initiatives will have an instant effect, which will be felt by everyone.
