Ukraine has started to check the safety of transport. Patrol police will control cabs, trucks and buses, but it does not apply to private transport so far. It was reported by the first deputy head of the Patrol Police Department Oleksiy Biloshytskyy in Facebook.

So, starting from November 12, police patrol officers will use specialized vehicles to check the safety of transport - mobile diagnostic stations.
Law enforcers will control the compliance with the technical condition of transport with the established rules of road safety.
In particular, the police officers will:
measure the parameters of the light of the headlights;
measure the residual height of the tire tread;
analyze the exhaust emissions of gasoline and gasoline engines;
measure the smoke coefficient of diesel engines;
measure the external noise level of vehicles;
determine the total backlash of steering;
to check other elements of vehicle construction.
What vehicles will be inspectedThe following vehicles will be subject to inspection:
trucks over 3.5 tons and trailers to them,
buses
cabs,
Vehicles that carry dangerous goods, special-purpose vehicles,
cars and their trailers used for carrying passengers or goods for profit.
However, the check does not apply to private passenger vehicles.
