U.S. to send nearly $150 million in humanitarian aid to Afghanistan

The United States will provide an additional $144 million in aid to Afghanistan. The funds will be used to combat the humanitarian crisis.  This was announced by the press service of the White House.

 

Thus, the total amount of funds allocated by Washington for Afghanistan and Afghan refugees this year will reach $474 million.

 

"This is the largest amount of support among all countries," the press release noted.The money will be transferred to humanitarian organizations and will go for medicines, food and water, as well as everything needed by Afghans in the region, including Afghan refugees in neighboring countries.
