Meeting of the NATO Council Committee on Armaments – Ukraine will raise the topic of high-tech projects

For the first time in 50 years Ukraine will take part today in the meeting of the Committee on Armaments of NATO North Atlantic Council, the Conference of the National Armaments Directors, chaired by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. More details about the participation of Ukraine, which will be represented by Deputy Minister of Defense Alexander Nosov, became known from the Mission of Ukraine to NATO. There will be discussed «innovations in the defense-technical sphere, transformations in interaction with science and defense-industrial complex and achievement of optimal correlation of military needs and budgetary possibilities». – NATO members reached on October 21.

The ministers then approved a response to aggression and the growing threat from Russian missile systems. The secretary general also spoke about NATO's search for ways to strengthen and reinforce its position in the Black Sea.

No documents are planned to be signed at today's event, the mission's press office said.

  «Ukrainian representatives will participate in the discussion of priorities and directions of innovation policy. We are talking about high-tech projects, the purpose of which is to ensure technological superiority over the enemy in the future,» say the press service of the mission.

The regularity of the meeting is twice a year.
