Denis Shmygal is convinced that the introduction of a funded pension is twice as much as it is now.
The only civilized way to receive decent pensions is the introduction of the second level of the funded pension system. This was stated by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal in an interview with LB.ua, according to the Department of Communications of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
"If the second level of the pension system had been introduced 15 years ago, we would have accumulated 40-50 billion dollars now. This is long money, long investments that pension funds can invest in the domestic economy. This is a different economic worldview. Plus today it is estimated twice a bigger pension than the one that exists now. That is what we have to do in order to have a decent pension in 10-15 years", Denis Shmygal stressed.
The Prime Minister noted that work on this issue is underway today with the Verkhovna Rada Committee, the Parliament, and the Ministry of Finance.
