Increasing mobilization in Ukraine: Zelensky's statement on new rules

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that mobilization in Ukraine has increased significantly after the recent update of the relevant law. The head of state said this during a press conference at the third Ukraine-Northern Europe Summit.

 

 

According to the President, mobilization in Ukraine continues and is mandatory.


He noted that registration is now mandatory, and the digitalization process will help to avoid mixed registers.


Noting that technologically, anyone can register today, he emphasized that this does not mean that they will automatically be drafted to the front.


Zelensky emphasized that everyone who has reached the conscription age is obliged to update their data. According to him, more than a million people have already done so.
