Shmyhal and a group of ministers go to the Polish border for talks on the blockade

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and a group of ministers will arrive at the Ukrainian-Polish border today, February 23. Negotiations may take place there regarding the protests of Polish farmers who have blocked checkpoints. This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during a joint press conference with Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen.

"Our Prime Minister, together with the relevant ministers working on exports, imports, trade, responsible for logistics, infrastructure, agriculture, heads of the Border Guard Service - this group, led by the Prime Minister, will be on the border with Poland today. Whether Polish colleagues will be present is their personal decision," Zelensky emphasized.

The President also emphasized that tomorrow, on the second anniversary of the full-scale invasion of the Russian occupiers, it is impossible to organize such a meeting.

Zelensky expressed gratitude to Ukrainian farmers who did not join the blockade, although their products did not transit through Poland due to the situation at the border.

He also emphasized Ukraine's readiness to resolve the blockade issue and noted that Ukrainian grain is not currently entering the Polish market because of their will, but Ukraine is ready to cooperate to resolve this issue.
