Minister of Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshyn said that Ukraine successfully used "hybrid" air defense last night, destroying a Shahed from a distance of 9 kilometers. Kamyshyn said this at the Davos Forum, Defense Express reports.


"We decided to make a homemade air defense system. We took Soviet components and used Western missiles, or we took Western installations and used Soviet missiles. I am happy to report that one of these systems was successfully used for the first time tonight. We shot down a Shahed from nine kilometers away tonight, and this is the first successful use of such a system. I am very pleased that we have deployed it on the battlefield, protecting our sky and our people," he said.


At the same time, Kamyshyn did not name the system in question. Perhaps the FrankenSAM project is meant.
