Zelensky: I am ready to hold elections, but Ukrainians do not want them

President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the war has made it impossible to hold presidential elections in Ukraine. He said this in an interview with the Associated Press.

He said he is ready to hold elections, but most Ukrainians do not want them, considering them "dangerous and meaningless."

Volodymyr Zelensky also said that he "has no words to describe how difficult this job is, but he also cannot imagine leaving this position."

"Honestly, you can't do that. It would be very unfair, wrong and definitely demotivating," the president said.
