Ukraine's ambassador to Israel denies information about the refusal of Zelensky's visit

Ukraine's Ambassador to Israel Yevhen Korniychuk has denied the information that Jerusalem refused to allow President Volodymyr Zelensky to visit. He said this on the air of the local Krashche Radio.

According to him, Zelensky's ability to travel in a situation of full-scale war is limited.

"I can't comment on whether he was invited or not, I can only say that in the situation of martial law in Ukraine and the activation in the east, Zelensky does not have many opportunities to leave the country," Korniychuk said.

He noted that recent contacts with the Israeli leadership were "positive."

"All these talks are speculative and have nothing to do with our relationship. There has been no official appeal from Zelensky. I am sure that during the next international tour, there will be such an opportunity, and the Israeli government will have no objections," the diplomat summarized.

Earlier, Ynet wrote that Israel had refused Zelensky's visit in solidarity with the Hamas attack because it was "not the right time."
