President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky will leave Washington with a fresh package of military aid from the United States for the winter. This was reported by CNN.
According to the American official, the new aid package will include additional artillery, anti-tank, anti-aircraft and anti-aircraft equipment to better equip Ukraine to continue its counteroffensive and more.
"Zelensky will leave the White House with a significant package of additional funds to help with defense in the near and long term," the official said.
It is noted that the air defense package will also help Ukraine protect its skies before the onset of a harsh winter, when Russia is expected to increase the number of strikes on critical infrastructure.
At the same time, the package does not include army tactical missile systems known as ATACMS, which would allow the Ukrainian military to strike long-range targets.
