Polish Prime Minister threatens to expand the list of banned products from Ukraine

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has expressed his readiness to expand the list of products banned from import from Ukraine and called on Kyiv "not to escalate the conflict." The Polish prime minister made the statement in response to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's speech at the UN, Gazeta.pl reports.

He emphasized that Poland continues to help Ukraine and noted that his country is not an "indifferent state."

"We still believe in Ukraine's victory, we are helping, but our interest, the interest of the Polish peasant, the Polish village, the Poles, should be the most important and always is the most important for us. And it will be so, no matter who speaks in the world, because we do not bow down to those from the East or the West, we act only in the interests of Poles," Morawiecki said.

The Prime Minister expressed his readiness to help Ukraine, but not at the expense of destabilizing the Polish market, stressing the importance of regulating cooperation mechanisms. He also warned the Ukrainian authorities that they should avoid further escalation of the conflict.

"I warn the Ukrainian authorities: if they deepen the conflict, we will add more products to the ban on exports to Poland," the politician emphasized.

As we reported earlier, Polish President Andrzej Duda compared Ukraine to a drowning man who is dangerous and can be dragged to the depths.
