Danilov: Ukraine will choose military way to liberate Crimea

Ukraine is likely to choose the military path to liberate Crimea. This was announced by the head of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov in his speech on the eve of the International Crimean Summit. He emphasized that without the deoccupation of the peninsula, our country will not be provided with adequate security guarantees.

Danilov emphasized that Crimea is an integral part of Ukrainian territory, and the liberation of the peninsula is a priority.

"Moreover, we will liberate it. Most likely, it will be done militarily, if the aggressor country still does not realize that it needs to leave our territory. We have no other option," the NSDC head said.

Danilov also emphasized that any other options for action regarding Crimea would mean stagnation and shifting problems to future generations. He emphasized that Russia will continue its aggression and threaten the security of the region by holding Crimea.

"Only by expelling it from the territory of Crimea, by displacing it in the Sea of Azov, will we understand that our state will have certain security guarantees for a certain period of time," he added.

The NSDC head emphasized that there are no options other than deoccupation of Crimea, and despite the difficulties, Ukraine will strive for this goal. Danilov also noted that Ukraine receives a lot of anonymous messages that discourage the liberation of Crimea, but emphasized the importance of continuing the struggle for territorial integrity.

"And as soon as one person, a clerk from NATO, opened his face, he immediately received a response from the entire international community. Therefore, we have to do our part, liberate the territories, return to the Black and Azov Seas. If we do not have our own navy in Crimea, we will be in an extremely difficult situation in terms of security all the time," the official said.
