The weight of the former president of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili has dropped to 58 kg, his mother Giuli Alasania reported.

 After his arrest, Saakashvili arrived in prison weighing 116 kg with a height of 195 cm. Previously, the politician's associates said that the critical weight for his growth is 67 kg.

 "The weight is already 58 kg. The person is poisoned. If it is not so, then it should be said that he is a suicide," Alasania told reporters.

 The clinical director of the Vivamed hospital, Zurab Chkhaidze, denied the information, saying that Saakashvili's weight has increased slightly and is now 64 kilograms and 400 grams.

 In February of this year, the expert group of the People's Defender stated: if the patient loses another five to seven kilograms, he will be bedridden. According to them, if you lose weight at such a rate, it can happen in one or two months.
