US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin opened another meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine.

 The head of the Pentagon gave an introductory speech in a virtual format during the tenth meeting of the contact group on the defense of Ukraine.

 At the beginning of the speech, he noted that "this contact group has always been committed to helping the Ukrainian Armed Forces get what they need, when they need it."

 "Now we are at a crucial moment in Ukraine's struggle for freedom," the US Defense Minister said.

 According to him, all this demonstrates "our unchanging determination and unity".

 At the same time, he noted that at a time when more equipment is being sought for Ukraine, "we are still focused on accountability together with our partners."
