The Minister of Defense of Moldova, Anatolii Nosatiy, believes that the country is not in "immediate military danger", but at the same time, it is the object of a "hybrid war waged by Russia" with the aim of "overthrow state power".

 He said this in an interview with AFP.

 "There is no direct military threat to Moldova yet, but there are other types of danger that affect the country's security - a hybrid war," Nosatiy said.

 He explained that Russia, by creating "misinformation, tensions within our society", is trying to "change the political order, destabilize and overthrow the state power".

 "The biggest challenge now is a series of provocations that the Russian Federation is trying to use to destabilize the situation," added the Minister of Defense of Moldova.

 The White House said last week that individuals connected to Russian intelligence are planning to organize protests in Moldova to overthrow the government and install a more pro-Russian government.
