Terrorist attack in Iran: an attack on the embassy of Azerbaijan

According to the report of the Mehr agency, this was said by the deputy president of IRI for political affairs, Mohammed Jamshidi.

On his Twitter page, Jamshidi noted that Iran condemns "the tragic incident of the attack on the embassy of our brotherly and neighboring country - the Republic of Azerbaijan."

The armed attack on the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Tehran took place on Friday at 08:30 Baku time. As a result of the attack, the chief of security was killed, and two employees of the diplomatic mission were wounded.

As haqqin.az was able to find out, after the attacker used all the ammunition (he shot some in the air during the struggle with the guard), he broke free and ran for the second store, which was hidden in his car. But the guard was able to catch up and hit him on the head with a fire extinguisher, after which he was finally neutralized.

Azerbaijanis living in different countries of the world issued a statement in connection with the terrorist attack committed in the Azerbaijani embassy in Iran.

"We, Azerbaijanis living in foreign countries, express our deep regret in connection with the fact that as a result of an armed attack on the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Iran, one Azerbaijani was killed and two others were injured. Azerbaijanis of the world consider what happened to be a terrorist act organized by Iran's special services. Every one of our compatriots condemns those responsible for this treacherous attack and bloody crimes and declares that they do not believe in the false information that is being spread to divert attention. This bloody event defies logic and does not fit into the concept of humanity," the statement reads.
