Today, January 19, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi met with the Chairman of the European Council Charles Michel during his visit to Kyiv.
Zelenskyi reported this in Telegram.
"I welcome the President of the European Council Charles Michel to Ukraine. Thank you for your constant and strong support! We are starting an important meeting," he wrote.
Later, Zelenskyi added that he had meaningful negotiations with Michel.
"Ukraine and the European Union have already achieved significant results in our historic rapprochement. We are working to achieve even greater ones," the president added.
We will remind that Michel arrived in Kyiv on a visit to discuss further directions of cooperation. The President of the European Council has already visited the rehabilitation center for Ukrainian soldiers.
It should be noted that Michel recently, during a speech in the European Parliament, called on EU countries to provide Ukraine with tanks and generally to increase military aid.
