NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg assessed the possibility of Russia's use of nuclear weapons, stressing that threats should be taken seriously. This is reported with reference to his statement.

 "Any use of nuclear weapons is absolutely unacceptable, it will change the nature of the conflict. Russia should know that the thought of nuclear war cannot even be assumed. I am not saying that it is very likely that it will be used, but I am saying that when we see that Russia and Vladimir Putin repeat the rhetoric about nuclear weapons again and again, this is something that we must take seriously," Stoltenberg emphasized.

 He also emphasized that the use of nuclear weapons would have consequences for Russia.
