There will be four models of education. Shkarlet explained how schools will operate from the 1st of November

The educational process in schools from the 1st of September in the conditions of the war of Russia against Ukraine will be organized according to four models, which have already been developed by the experts of the Ministry of Education and Science.

This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Education and Science Sergiy Shkarlet during the educational scientific-practical conference "Education, teachers - unshadowed in war" on August 18.

Shkarlet said that four possible locations of students are the basis of teaching models:

participants in the educational process are staying or have returned to the territories that are essentially distant from the fighting

Participants in the educational process are internally displaced persons

are located in the combat zone or on temporarily occupied territories

are temporarily outside the borders of Ukraine.

At the same time, two categories of students (those who are in safe areas without changing their place of residence and those who are internally displaced persons) are offered the following forms of education:

full-time form

distance form

family (home) form of education

mixed form of education

externship.

The same forms (apart from the mixed ones) are also offered by the Ministry of Education and Science for students who reside abroad.

And for students who are currently in the temporarily occupied territories or staying in the combat zone, they offer these forms of training:

distance or internship in the distance form

family .

external study.

We note that the educational process in 2022/2023 school year will begin on 1 September at the Day of Knowledge and will last until June 30, 2023. The relevant changes were made to the law.

The school also determines the duration and structure of the academic year.

The duration of the academic year (five or six days), days, activities and holidays will be determined by the pedagogical council of each educational institution.

We would like to add that about 40% of schools are ready for the beginning of the educational process in full-time form of education according to the indicators of provision of educational process participants with the facilities of the security of civil protection.
