Russian occupants are shelling the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, particularly from the territory of the Vodyane village, and are preparing provocations under the Ukrainian flag, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry reported.
"One of the artillery strikes of the Rashists damaged the first unit of the pumping station of the Heat and Underground Communications Plant. Another "arrival" led to the partial destruction of the fire unit responsible for the safety of the ZNPP. Also, as a result of enemy fire, forest and grass in nearby areas caught fire, causing considerable smoke. Extinguishing the fires caused by the shelling is difficult because of the shelling of the fire department," the report says.
At the same time, the occupiers are actively creating a "picture" for their own propaganda, for this purpose two buses of "extras" have recently been brought to the station to play the role of "local residents and staff."
Intelligence stressed that real locals and staff refuse to participate in such productions.
"To the stele "Energodar" at the entrance to the city the resolists drove up a self-propelled artillery unit "Pion" with the letter "Z" painted in white. A blue-and-yellow Ukrainian flag is raised on the gunship. Apparently, it will be used for the next provocations to accuse the AFU," the SMM reported.
