Russian occupants shelled Zaporizhzhia NPP and nearby facilities again on Thursday, NAEC Energoatom reported in its Telegram channel.
"Five "arrivals" were recorded in the area of the plant's commandant's office - directly next to the welding area and the storage of radiation sources. In a small area the grass caught fire, but, fortunately, no one was injured," - said in the message.
In addition, the occupants shelled the area of the fire station located near the ZNPP.
"As a result of the shelling, it was not possible to conduct a "shift change" on time at the plant. In fact, for the safety of the nuclear workers, buses with the personnel of the subsequent shift were turned back to Energodar. Until the situation normalizes, the workers of the preliminary shift will continue working," the company specified.
