Ammunition is exploding on the territory of the Russian airbase in occupied Crimea. This was reported by RIA Novosti. 

According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the cause of the explosions on the territory of the air base "Saki" in Novofedorovka was the detonation of several aircraft ammunition.

"No one was injured as a result of the explosion. Aviation equipment at the airfield was not damaged," the Russian Defense Ministry said.

Measures are being taken to extinguish the fire.
