British ambassador reacted to Amnesty International's scandalous report on accusations against the AFU

British Ambassador Melinda Simmons commented on the Amnesty International report on the war in Ukraine, which caused a wave of outrage because of the accusations against the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

As writes "European Pravda", the ambassador published her statement on Twitter.

"The only thing that threatens Ukrainian civilians is Russian missiles, weapons and looting of Russian troops. Period. If Russia stopped invading Ukraine, there would be no danger," Melinda Simmons stressed.

As a reminder, on August 4, the human rights organization Amnesty International released a report in which it stated that the Ukrainian military was endangering civilians by stationing themselves in schools and hospitals.

The organization's Ukrainian office then released a commentary explaining that the Ukrainian team was not involved in the preparation of the report and from the very beginning tried to convince their colleagues of the inadmissibility and incompleteness of such material and eventually refused to translate and distribute it, but their opinion was not heeded.

After the report was published, the Presidential Office pointed out that the lives of Ukrainians were threatened only by the Russian army, and Amnesty International's statements were nothing more than participation in Russia's discrediting campaign against Ukraine.

Ukrainian Defence Minister Oleksiy Reznikov believes that Amnesty International's material demonstrates a "loss of adequacy" in the organization.
