The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Law Enforcement Affairs supported the candidacy of Andriy Kostin for the post of Prosecutor General. This was reported in his Telegram people's deputy Oleksiy Goncharenko.

"The Verkhovna Rada Committee on law enforcement supported the candidacy of Kostin to the Prosecutor General. For -17 deputies," wrote Goncharenko.

President Volodymyr Zelensky introduced in parliament a draft resolution to give consent to the appointment of MP Andrei Kostin to the post of Prosecutor General.

Andriy Kostin is a member of the Servant of the People faction, head of the VR committee for legal policy, responsible in parliament for judicial reform, a lawyer, and co-founder of the Law company "Pravo".
