German Chancellor Olaf Scholz assures that his government's support of Ukraine will not be hindered by economic problems caused by a full-scale invasion by Russia. Scholz said this in an interview with ZDF.

Asked how long the German federal government will continue to support Ukraine and whether economic difficulties will prevent it, the chancellor said: "We will show solidarity - at least that is my dream - as long as it is necessary for Ukraine to defend itself against Russia's terrible and brutal attack.

He assured that supplies of military and humanitarian aid to Ukraine would continue.

"I believe that it is only possible to act with the support of the citizens. But I also believe that this will be possible for a long time to come," Scholz added.
