Lavrov accused France of violating diplomatic ethics because of the conversation between Macron and Putin

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that the disclosure of the content of the conversation between French leader Emmanuel Macron and Russian President Vladimir Putin, which took place four days before Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, is a violation of "diplomatic ethics. Lavrov said this on Wednesday at a press conference with his Vietnamese counterpart, UP reported.

The conversation was made public last week in the documentary "The President, Europe and the War," and it sheds light on Macron's approach to negotiations with Russia.

Speaking on Wednesday, Lavrov said that "diplomatic ethics" do not suggest that such records should be unilaterally leaked.

"We basically negotiate in a way that we are never ashamed of. We always say what we think, and we are ready to answer for those words and explain our position," Lavrov said.
