The death toll from a missile attack on a shopping mall in Kremenchug has risen to 20. At the same time, 59 people were injured.

This was stated by the deputy head of the Office of the President Kirill Timoshenko at a briefing.

"Yesterday the occupants launched a treacherous rocket attack on the shopping center in Kremenchug. Exactly when more than 1,000 people were there. We already know of more than 20 dead and 59 wounded, of whom 25 are hospitalized," he said.

Timoshenko said that there are more than 40 statements from relatives about missing people who might have been in the mall at the time of the shelling.

The search at the site of the shelling continues.

According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, more than a thousand civilians were inside the mall when the Russian troops attacked.
