Italy proposed a 4-step plan to resolve the situation in Ukraine

The Italian authorities have proposed a plan for a step-by-step peaceful settlement of the situation in Ukraine. This was reported by La Repubblica.

 

The Italian politicians suggested that the conflict in Ukraine be ended in four stages with the direct participation of the OSCE, the UN, as well as a number of countries, including the G7 states. According to the plan, the cessation of hostilities, the conclusion of an agreement on "disputed territories" and the signing of a multilateral agreement on security guarantees in Europe are proposed.

 

"This plan, prepared by the Italian Foreign Ministry, was handed over by the country's Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio to UN Secretary-General António Guterres on May 18. Representatives of the G7 countries have also been acquainted with the document," the newspaper reported.
