The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the Russian Federation might use the territory of Transnistria for offensive operations. Moreover, the Tiraspol airfield is already preparing to receive planes.

The General Staff told this today, April 6, in the morning operational information.

At the same time, the enemy is trying to improve the tactical situation in the South Bug direction. The use of the territory of the self-proclaimed Transnistrian-Moldovan Republic to support the offensive operation in that direction is not ruled out. Preparations are being made at the Tiraspol airfield to receive aircraft," the military said.

On April 2, the Ukrainian Armed Forces also said that the Russian Federation was actively engaging units of its troops based in Transnistria to carry out provocations and demonstrations on the border with Ukraine.
