As of 18:00 on March 4, the main efforts of Russian forces are concentrated on encircling Kiev and weakening resistance in the blockaded settlements, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"The occupiers also continued rocket and bomb strikes on populated areas. Used artillery and multiple rocket launchers to destroy critical infrastructure and residential buildings," the Facebook message stated.
In the Volyn direction the position of Ukrainian troops without significant changes.
In the Siversky direction, Chernigov continues to defend. Units of the operational grouping of troops hold their positions on the occupied lines.
Near the village of Mikhailo-Kotsyubinskoye in the Chernihiv region, there is a column of up to 200 vehicles and manpower in front of the water obstacle. The bridge across the river has been destroyed.
In the Slobozhansky direction, units from the grouping continue to conduct defensive battles, successfully engaging the enemy with fire.
Combined Forces are still conducting defensive operations with the help of two task forces.
In the Primorsky direction, the operational grouping of troops covers the sea coast and prevents the encirclement of the city of Mykolaiv.
Air forces of the AFU are repelling enemy air strikes. Systematic combat operations continue. To date, the Russian invaders have already lost 37 aircraft and 37 helicopters.
The defenders of Kiev continue to repel the enemy's offensive, defeat its offensive groups and hold certain lines.
"The enemy is demoralized. The local population is showing by all means that Russia is not welcome here. The fight is going on all over the country. Bottom line, we will win! We urge you to use only verified sources of information and not to panic. The enemy is waiting for that," stressed the General Staff.
