President Putin, in the name of humanity, return your troops to Russia - UN Secretary General

UN Secretary-General António Guterres called on Russian President Vladimir Putin to stop the war against Ukraine.

"Today I can only say one thing from my heart: President Putin, stop your troops from attacking Ukraine. Give peace a chance. Too many people have already died," he said during a UN Security Council meeting.

Later on Twitter, he added that he should change his statement.

"President Putin, in the name of humanity, return your troops to Russia. This conflict must end now," he wrote.
