Will there be an appeal? Poroshenko reacted to the court's decision on the preventive measure

Fifth President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that the confiscation of passports and the ban on leaving the Kiev region impedes his political activity. He added that there will be not only an appeal against the court decision, but also the reaction of international partners.

"Certainly this is a restriction. I have an invitation for at least three foreign visits. Withdrawal of the passport prevents my political activity. Exit outside Kiev prevents my internal political activity," Poroshenko said.

At the same time, he added that he will actively continue his political activity.

"The speech should not only be in the form of an appeal...we hope for a response from international partners, we will ask for it. I will actively pursue my political activities, including foreign events, which are planned in advance," Poroshenko added.

According to the court decision, Poroshenko is obliged to surrender his Ukrainian passport, passport to travel abroad. Also he can not travel outside the territory of Kiev and the Kiev region. The period of validity - March 19, 2022.

Recall, Poroshenko was assigned a measure of restraint in the form of personal commitment. He is suspected of treason and assistance to terrorist organizations through the smuggling of coal from occupied Donbas in 2014-2015.
