James Risch made a statement about Georgia's recent situation

A member of the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee James Risch made a statement about Georgia's recent situation at a committee meeting.

I am more and more worried about the steps taken backwards in Georgia. More than 50 journalists have been beaten in recent weeks - one of them to death as a result of injuries, - said Jim Rish, a member of the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee, at a committee meeting.

The senator also spoke about the appointment of Supreme Court judges, noting that this was contrary to the April 19 agreement.

"Several judges were transferred to the Supreme Court against the April 19 agreement. I know Senator Shaheen shares my concern in this regard, we have had a number of discussions about it. "I hope you will work with the Georgian government to discuss these issues," the senator said.
