Serhii "Flash" Beskrestnov, Advisor to the President of Ukraine on Defense Technologies, responds to the statement made by SpaceX founder Elon Musk, who accused the Ukrainian military of violating the terms of service for the commercial satellite system Starlink.
According to Beskrestnov, it is very strange that Elon Musk is unaware of the restrictions on Starlink's operation in Ukraine.
"Since the winter (February) of 2026, all Starlink terminals operating on the territory of Ukraine (including the occupied territories) have a movement speed limit of 70–90 km per hour. Moreover, Starlink does not work on Russian territory. Therefore, we are physically unable to use commercial Starlink to carry out long or medium-range strikes," the Advisor to the Ukrainian President wrote on social media.
Earlier, Elon Musk stated that "Ukrainian military forces violated the Starlink terms of service and used it for offensive drone strikes to kill people."
