Ukraine is improving the electricity distribution system to make blackouts fairer for all categories of consumers. An inventory is currently being conducted to distribute electricity consumption between critical infrastructure and household consumers.
Ruslan Slobodian, head of the State Energy Supervision Inspectorate, explained on television that this inventory is aimed at streamlining the electricity distribution process. The lists of critical infrastructure will be updated and taken into account in the balance of each region.
Each region will have its own electricity consumption limit, and critical infrastructure facilities will be prioritized. This will help avoid inequalities in electricity distribution and make blackouts fairer for the population.
