Ukraine faces 10-hour power outages in winter - MP

Power outages in Ukraine may last 10 hours a day in winter. This was stated by MP Serhiy Nagornyak during a telethon.

“The situation is as follows, we must understand that objectively... and this is the most important point now, even more important than the electricity tariff itself... we must all speak frankly today that raising the electricity tariff will not make it possible to have electricity 24 hours a day in 2024,” Nagornyak said.

He predicts that the frequency and duration of power outages in winter will depend on the air temperature. He noted that in winter, when the temperature is -10 degrees, Ukrainians can expect to have electricity for about 14 hours a day, and the remaining 10 hours will be without electricity.
