After the 60 days allotted to conscripts to update their credentials have expired, the summons may be sent by mail. In this case, the summons will be considered served. This was reported in an interview by the spokesman of the Poltava Regional TCC, Major Roman Istomin.

He noted that so far, the summonses are still working as before - they are considered to be delivered only in the hands with a signature. Starting from July 16, they will be sent to any address known to the TCC and will be considered automatically delivered.

“At the same time, the day of appearance at the summons of a reservist or conscript is determined no earlier than the 14th day from the date of sending the summons by postal means by registered letter with a notice of delivery,” the speaker noted.

According to him, the recipient of the summons does not have to sign it.

Confirmation of a notice of summons to the military commissariat in case of sending a summons by mail will be:

  • the day of receipt of the postal item, which is confirmed by information or documents from the postal operator;
  • the day the postal notice is marked with a refusal to receive the mail or the day the person is marked as absent at the address of residence, which was specified during the data update, or at the address of the registered place of residence.
