President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced plans to sign a bilateral security agreement during his visit to Spain. He said this on his Telegram channel after arriving in Madrid.
Zelensky noted that the main purpose of the visit is to sign a security agreement and hold talks with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez. Discussions will include continued cooperation in the defense sector, preparation of a new military aid package, and training of the Ukrainian military.
The president also announced two planned summits: The Peace Summit and the European Council Summit, which will agree on steps to achieve concrete results.
In addition, during the visit, Zelensky plans to meet with His Majesty King Felipe VI, as well as hold talks with the heads of the chambers and factions of the Spanish parliament.
