Ukraine is negotiating with its partners and wants to get permission to strike the territory of the Russian Federation with Western weapons. However, so far there is nothing positive about this. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky, Reuters reports.

In addition, the head of state believes that partners could help intercept Russian missiles over Ukraine under certain circumstances.

He said that Russians use 300 aircraft on Ukrainian territory. Ukraine needs at least 120-130 aircraft to resist in the sky, Zelensky added, referring to American F-16s, some of which the president hopes will soon be used in combat operations.

“You can't provide that right now? Well... going back to the planes that you have on the territory of neighboring NATO countries: raise them... shoot down targets, protect civilians. Can they do that? I'm sure they can. Is this an attack by NATO countries (on Russia), is it involvement? No,” Zelensky said.

In addition, the president noted that Kyiv is negotiating with international partners to use their weapons to strike at Russian military equipment on the border and further inside Russia. At the same time, he said that “so far there is nothing positive” about it.
