Today, on May 8, Ukrenergo announced that it may introduce blackout schedules across Ukraine.
According to Ukrenergo, the most difficult situation is expected in the power system from 18:00 to 23:00, when restrictions for household and industrial consumers are possible. These restrictions will be distributed evenly across all regions.
Information on outage schedules in each region is promised to be published on the official websites of local regional power distribution companies.
The reason for this is a shortage of electricity caused by new damage to Ukrainian power plants' equipment as a result of Russian strikes.
The most tense situation is expected today from 18:00 to 23:00.
