The plant of the manufacturer of air defense systems Iris-T is on fire in Berlin. The BILD reports on the fire at the metallurgical plant of the defense-industrial company Diehl.

According to a representative of the fire service, the plant's building has almost completely burned down on four floors, and part of the building has already collapsed. The fire is being extinguished from the outside, as it was impossible to fight the fire internally.

Part of the German capital was covered with toxic smoke. The company stored sulfuric acid and copper cyanide. There is a risk of hydrogen cyanide formation, which will rise into the air with the smoke.

Residents are advised to close windows and stay at home.

Open sources say that Diehl is the developer of the Iris-T systems used by Ukraine.
