Latvian Defense Minister Andris Spruds has announced his country's readiness to transfer a short-range air defense system to Ukraine. This is stated on the website of the European Commission.

According to the minister, although some countries have Patriot systems and others do not, they can still provide Ukraine with other air defense systems.

He also emphasized that a wide range of different air defense systems are being considered, not just Patriot.

The Latvian defense minister noted that their country is ready to contribute to Ukraine's air defense, focusing on short-range air defense systems.
